Youth Boys - Italy vs Germany
First game of the day has my favorites Italy against a German team that looked very dominant in their win over Scotland. Italy beat a very big, strong Ukraine team in order to reach the final but apparently they will be missing a bunch of their Sask players. So I imagine that will make Germany the favorites.Prediction: Germany 5-3
Womens: Ukraine vs Germany
A rematch of last years final sees a Ukraine team coming off a very shaky win against Chile take on German side that has looked very strong in every game. The deciding factor in this game should be the quality of the goalkeeping. Both team have players that can shoot from anywhere so it will come down to which keeper can make the big saves. Watch out for Megan Cormier (Germany) and Chelsie Dorosh (Ukraine) as they are topping the goal scoring charts for the Womens. Ukraine really did not look very good in their last game so.....Prediction: Germany 2-1
ROI vs Laos
Another rematch of last years final that went to a shoot out. Laos struggled with Sudan in the 1st game but have come on strong since. ROI have blown out every team not named El Salvador and even in that game had 80% possession. This promises to be a great game played by too great teams. While Laos has added a player or two, ROI has revamped their entire squad with this game in mind . However, what this game really comes down too is not who either team has but who Laos doesn't. Josh Northey was key last year drawing the attention of multiple defenders at all times. His absence will be the difference. Plus, I cant pick against my own team. Maybe if we were playing France.Prediction: ROI 3-2

Mike why do u give France so much credit, they didn't look like a team that could win tournament, don't get me wrong they have some good players but not a team which plays together, players were not sync so i would say es and Laos and Poland were much better teams than France, am choosing laos to win this 4-3
shoulda been ES in the final.. I hope the refs read these blogs cause maybe they will realize how bad they screwed teams in this tourney.. Like to point out 2 refs i think were good and shoulda been givin the bigger games, christeen hoff and justin slinn two best refs i saw in the tourney and kevin needs to recognize that and give them the bigger games.. Im sick of most of these refs trying to be heros and try make the radical calls. just be consistent.. Anyways if anyone watched the tourney hope they saw that ES was the only team that gave Ireland a game, and was robbed in the end. great tourney congrats ireland

I am dessapointed that you are the official blog!!! the same ref has screw ES two years in a raw last year during Jamaica game where two goals went in and did not call and this year favoring his boyfriends in ROI!!! If you talk crap need to give credit where is deserve!!!

ES sucks, why are all these ES clowns going around the blogs posting stuff about ES. The final was Laos vs Ireland. Where is ES .. exactly not good enough to make it. Stop complaining and maybe make a team that can contend next year. ROI played their B squad you clown. Your lucky they were sitting back and giving you a chance. The tournament is over.. what is done is done. Let it go and move forward... no need for verbal jousting with Collins. It would have been great to play in the final, yet that wasn't in the card for us this year.
As for Anon 1:41... you just gave ROI a backhanded compliment. Jay Tomchuk, Nathan Reis, Benno Looft, Mike Collins, Brett Levis, David Brown, and Brendan Garritty played the full second half for ROI... if that's what you call their B squad, I am interested to hear who their A squad consists of?

Don't even reference that Poland game. Just look who played net for ES! Clearly ES put just enough effort to not get embarrassed.
I really like Poland I think is an excellent team better than ROI but to brag about ES being beaten by them think twice ! I would have enjoyed watching these two team to a real match with their ES older keeper and the complete squad!!! I know some Polish fan don't like ES but ES fans like Poland!!

See the situation with Poland is that I never even mentioned Poland once, yet they had players come on the blogs and make some line crossing comments that they had to be deleted. I was very disappointed by those actions as I actually had respect for Poland. Yet I won't paint all the Polish players with the same brush, as the culprits know who you are... and you know why you had to post anonymously with what you said.

I really don't care what people like you think... do I have the freedom to post whatever I want... yes I do and I exercise that freedom whenever I choose... do you have the freedom and the ability to ignore anything I write... yes you do... yet you and like many other haters, you chose to read and infuriate yourself with any comments that are made... El Salvador Poland game was a bronze medal game, you think both those teams want to be in that game?? Obviously they wanted to be in the finals. The bronze medal game is like a consolation game and is a game played way more relaxed. As for the comment about fans hating fans, this will always be the case because there will always be at least one fan who hated another fan from another team, this you cannot control, what you can say is polish fans are great, they come out singing and chanting and make their games more exciting. Laosian fans are great with their drums, el Salvador fans are great too, etc. Everyone wants to win but not everyone can. It was a great 3 weeks and now we can only look forward to next year!
I am concerned about a player/referee that is allowed to participate in this event. I have read and heard comments made by him towards teams players and other referees and I am totally disturbed that he is allowed to participate in this tournament. The Author of the Norway Blog is Bad for Soccer and is a hypocrite...my son will not continue a referee due to this individual.
I really hope that you post this because I have written several comments on other blogs that see to get removed .
