Top 7 Sask Soccer Bromances

1. CGFL guys - For those of you who are unfamiliar with CGFL it stands Canada Games For Life. But it might as well stand for Constant Guy Flavored Love. More than a decade ago these guys played on a team, fell in love with one another, and continue to want the whole world to know it. They are still churning out new gear and teams to show their devotion to one another. If I knew how to make a heart shape I would do it now.

2. The Patterson Twins - Literally putting the bro in bromance these two can't do anything without one another. From birth, they have been inseparable and it is always assumed that if you ask one of them to play you are actually asking both of them.

3. Braden Husdal and 2007 - Somehow, back in 2007, Norway managed to win the WCP Cup, forever tainting the significance of winning and giving hope to every future underdog. Braden is not about to let anyone forget about it either. Constant reminiscing seems to be all Norway has going for it but they continue to play the role of champions... whatever keep your relationship fresh.

4. Julio and Himself - Besides the CGFL guys I don't think there is a bigger love affair than Julio has for himself. I imagine him living in a house of mirrors so that he can vainly stare at himself all day. Julio actually quite often refers to himself in 3rd person. Perhaps though, its Julio's narcissistic ways which make him so darn entertaining to listen too.

5. Kevin and Anyone Jamaican - Kevin must be in love with anyone who's Jamaican because as far as I can tell his team has never cut a player. Not only do they not cut anyone but they seem to give everyone equal playing time. Watching Korthius get subbed off for 7 mins to put on some plug is a definitive sign of love.

6. The Oneill Guys - I don't know exactly what happened in this north end Regina High School but these guys seem forever bonded. They continue to reconvene their team for tournaments etc. It was probably their time together or some sort of event which fused the group together. In my mind it likely played out much like the movie "The Outsiders" but I could be way off  on that...

7.The Worker Bees And Kevin - The worker bees will really do have an undying love for Kevin and there is only way to truly profess this love. Of course that is to either adorn a black AC Jacket or a Blue WCP Jacket. Aww... it's just like high school with Letterman Jackets. Wait am I a worker bee? Hmm....

Ya, those CGFL guys are a bunch of clowns. Why don't they just form a country and enter it into WCP. Ominous forboding?

CGFL is an excuse for buddies to not lose touch with each other and keep a bond with the boys fresh.

It is a core group of guys who have maintained frienships into their adult lifes.

CGFL guys have helped each other out in good and bad times in dealing with the hard ships that life throws at you.

The guys would take this as a massive compliment as they do/we have a bromance with each other :)

I don't know who DG is but man, you are getting way to sentimental on here. No one cares about your thoughts and feelings for each other. I'm sure there is some other blog you can go on and write a poem and discuss your feelings with a group of people who might actually care.

lets get back to talking about soccer!

Batman,

I couldn't help but notice how informative your post was on the game of soccer and the WCP tourney. Thanks for the wonderful posts, keep them up.

You are more then welcome to skip my posts if you like. I promise my feelings won't be hurt.

I strongly encourage you to go and find Robin and tell him your how you wouldn't be half the man you would be without him.

I have to admit it is tough to take anyone serious that signs their post as Batman.

If you were going to rank the top 5 teams in this tournament DG, who would they be and in what order? And if you are going to rank Ireland in there, I don't want any sort of explanation why they made your rankings. Keep your thoughts focused on the other 4 teams you are going to select.

Team previews will be starting tomorrow and I will break down the groups closer to the tournament. Problem I am having is I don't know anything about some of these teams let alone their contact information to gain info so its tough. Maybe once the previews start going up others will submit stuff for me. Thanks for the input.

I don't understand some people...
Joker and Batman, if your going to post something... atleast make it good. Your one liners are terribly annoying and not even funny.
I don't know if you just want to be annoying and get on people's nerves... but really I am just bored by your comments. I look at them and shake my head and wonder how someone can even remotely find anything that you have posted to be funny at all?

I think I even wasted time commenting about the two of you... or maybe it's just one person, posting as two different tags.... who knows, and frankly who cares.
Atleast when other people post there is some entertainment out of it... when the two of you post, its just a hassle having to keep scrolling past your moronic one liners.

Like I'm borderline disappointed at the moderaters of the blog allowing all the non-sense posts like that to be visible, as if I am bored reading them... imagine how many other people reading the blogs are beginning to lose interest aswell... just food for thought.

Collins why are you deleting posts that arn't offensive. Come on dude.

I am siding with Julio on this one. I am probably too lax in allowing posts. Like I've said, I don't delete posts I might remove them and edit them slightly to make them acceptable and re post them but that it. Some posts I simply don't allow because they are offensive. I probably have too not allow 1/5th of the posts.

Batman,

I will be adding my two cents to the group favorites and players to look out for once that post is up on this blog.
