Sundays Exhibition Games

A lot of exhibition games yesterday and I am sure there are some people curious about the scores. If people could help out and add the ones I am missing I will post those as I learn them.

Canada 8ish - Scotland 0 - Summary in comments

Poland 4 - Mike Collins Selects 4 - Poland played I group of guys a put together with the game ending up 4-4 as Poland scored in the last minute to tie. We were up 4-1 at half but ran out of steam. Good game.

Germany 3 - Colombia 2 - Germany is in trouble. They had no distinguishable formation or tactic other than to kick it long and on net. Colombia looked decent, moving the ball well and were in good shape. Maybe a bit of a sleeper team.

France 8 - Hungary 1 - Maybe this was the score? I don't even think the France guys had any idea how many it was. Not much to write here. France = good, Hungary = Not Good. Does that mean Jamaica = Really not good?

Jamaica 3 - Botswana 1 - I managed to watch about 10 mins of this game before I was forced to leave not want to have soccer forever ruined for me. Botswana was taking it to Jamaica for those 10 mins and were up 1-0 when I left. I don't know what happened after that, can only assume Jamaica got it together and played the way you'd think they'd be able too. They might be getting worried.

Send in the rest.

Canada beat Scotland about 4-0 or so. Probably wouldn't have made a difference, but Scotland had a very short bench. Game started out good...was scoreless for about the first 10-15 minutes, then Scotland started making stupid errors not marking men and stuff.

I didn't stick around until the end, but Serbia played N. Ireland in what could have also been mistaken for a Div. 6 league final...not sure. Bee swarm soccer and hack play at it's best! I think it was about 5-4 (and no not an offensively strong game...the defense and goalkeeping on both sides was aweful) when I left just into the second half.

Sorry 5-4 for who in the Serbia N. Ireland game?

Once again reporting live from the WCP headquarters is your "Insider" Julio:

There are alot of rumors and speculations going around today.. new players have entered the fold and things are started to heat up as he the kick off for WCP 2012 approaches.

1. On the Afghan front, no new contract negotiations to speak of. Chico has begun filiming his commercials with Nike and is quoted in saying that he is looking to make a move into mainstream Media now that Beckham is nearing retirement. Chico is working on his own clothing line due to be released at the opening ceremonies. The rumour brand name is speculated to be "Fierce" or "Chico-licious"

2. Soheil Summers is now satisfied with his roster, that he has ended negotiations with any players. Soheil did extend a contract to AVB, as AVB is recently unemployed; but AVB graciously declined Soheil's proposal of mentoring him back to form as a top tier coach. Rumors are swirling that Soheil may have acquired Murinho to coach along side him at the WCP, as Soheil aims to mentor and mold the Portugese legend into a higer calibre coach.

3. WCP organizers will be offering tissues at the front doors for all the cry babies that whine and complain about the blog. Brennan started a petition that was passed, so all the tears that flow from the offensive comments may be fully absorbed.

4. No surprise here, but TSN has released its Power Rankings entering the 2012 tournament. Run away favourites to win the cup are Norway, as odds makers have given them a 1.5/1 odds of victory after reading Dufus's blog. Germany enters in a close second, due to the depth of offensive talent they will rely on, with 3 to 1 odds, and Poland managed to capture the 3rd spot on the list with 5 to 1 odds.

5. The liquor license has been revoked for the tournament. Officials tried to battle to keep the booze flowing, but due to recent events it was decided that strippers and booze can not be mixed in the same establishment. I guess we can all blame Bart, the Polish Plaboi, for his famous and quite scandalous lap dances he kept giving all his "boys"

6. Sean Riggs will be inducted to the Saskatchewan Soccer Hall of Fame. Riggs' holds numerous records, most notably most games played in a season with 1,213 games under his belt in the 2009 season. Riggs is known for his intelligence off and on the field, should be a big draw at the tournament this year... Riggs's celebrations look to be taken to new levels. Riggs will be signing headshots at the WCP front entrance on March 31st; Riggs is a player that will challenge to break into the top 3 this year as he has the equivalent skill set of Gerald from Afghan.

That's it, and that's all.

I figured Germany wouldn't be awful this year. They played Botswana earlier this month in an exhibition game and tied 1-1. Botswana should have won the game. I enjoyed seeing an underdog like Botswana do well. Friendly games are actually not too bad to watch. As for Serbia the talk has been they have gotten younger, but don't know if that means they have gotten better?

Julio is a tool ... his breaking news are full of lies and all he doing is trying to be funny ... useless tit.

HAHAH HAHA I don't know what is more funny, the fact that some nimwit thought that there was WCP BREAKING NEWS or Julio's posts!
I don't think you should be calling people a useless tit when you couldn't figure out the reason behind the BREAKING NEWS! HAHAH

O'hooley your sources are once again incorrect. March 31 is wrigley's first bday. Last place I would take him for that is Regina obviously. My autograph session is a tually on April 2nd at the Regina IMAX theatre from 6-7 pm. All proceeds go to the charity "get the anonymous posters a name and a set fund."

Following the autograph session there will be a few films that are a must-see. There is a documentary on sohos journey to being the top paid and top ranked coach is wcp and Sask soccer history. Next there is a short film displaying a couple of sohos tactical secrets. The grand finale will be the unveiling of chicos Nike ad. Tickets are limited, so grab them early.

Rumor has it that nba's Linsanity, Golfs tiger woods and christiano Ronaldo will be in attendance to show support to their fellow Nike spokepetson and unveil the groundbreaking ad on the big screen.

I know for a fact that Poland should of won last nights game, there so good all over the field, I think they will win this tournament by a landslide and then Jordan can be crowned as king of regina soccer

Colombia as a sleeper team Collins? I even saw you play for Germany in that game so you clearly know how bad Colombia is. If they can't beat a weak and unorganized Germany team then how do they expect to beat anyone?

All this talk of a Chico-licious brand is making me want some tight Chico-licious briefs! Also is there an exclusive premiere for the commercials as I am dying to see one!

Botswana lost 2-1 to Jamaica not 3-1 Mike get the facts right.

Anonymous said...

yah Mike. get those facts right. last night at 1130, the most important thing in your life should have been finding out the correct score of the jamaica botswana game. what were you thinking by posting an incorrect score?! thats outrageous. This game has significant implications on how well Botswana will do in wcp cup, so don't let it happen again.

I play in moosejaw and haven't had a chance to check out any wcp cup games till tonight....It was 2-1 Jamaica...not an overly exciting game....I did watch most of the Serbia/n.Ireland game....the first have was pretty good...the keeper for n.Ireland looked pretty good...made a few beauty saves...the keeper they used in the second half was brutal...hope he wasn't there starter....I played against that n.Ireland keeper in the moosejaw tournament...he is pretty decent and kept them in their games.....watched a little of the Canada game...was really a one sided game.....

How is Julio sucking up to anyone?
If anything what he says can be view as insulting not complimentary. I don't know if some people don't understand sarcasm, or if they never learnt to read but I am glad you didn't post your name behind the comment as you would have let everyone know just how stupid you are.

Sounds like one guy really has a problem with Julio but he has to hide behind a computer screen. May I ask why you even post comments like that if you can't back it with your name?
Is it because your scared that people will say mean things about you? I think the word that define you is cowardly, maybe post using that as your name.
PS. Julio, your F&!%ing hot! I'll be there cheering front row every ROI game! XoXo

Obviously Lisa is Julio. Unless she is a chubby chaser, as he definitely is larger than the 269 he claims. Rumor has it that he will only be subbed on only for defending free kicks, as he is the same size as any 3 other players roi could put in a wall. Collins has put him on a strict weight gaining diet and if he doesn't reach 300 by the playoff round his spot is in jeopardy.

As for Bart, I have drafted a document to sign that states you can slide up and down as many poles as you like. But no matter how electric the atmosphere and no matter how many people are cheering your name, you must keep your bra and panties on at all times. As much as we all like the full show, we would prefer to have the alcohol ban lifted. Save the full shows and lap dances for the polish dressing rooms after games. Thanks in advance for your cooperation with the matter.

I also want to give a shootout to Brennan. A guy who claims to hate the blog but probably comes on every 5 minutes to see what people say about him. I feel bad for him as he cries much more than my 11 month old son. I think he should head to the poland dressing Room after a game so Julio and I can each shell out 20 and get him a lap dance and cheer the poor kid up.

When I said Colombia as a sleeper team I meant that if you just chalked them off as a win they could give some teams trouble. I don't think they are a sleeper to win it all by and stretch of the imagination.

Hey batman...no clue what you are talking about...I wish I could say I was playing in this tournament but I'm not.....and if I was a keeper...I'm sure under 10's could score on me....I'm just giving some credit to someone I saw play good...for all I know, that keeper could really sick and just had a good day

Anonymous said...

sounds to me like you are upset about under 10's scoring on you. Those kids probably also would realize your last sentence made no sense.

Batman, you prob couldnt score against under 10's...and if you are on here to worry about a few spelling mistakes or words messed up, then you are in a class all on your own...you prob walk around with a nice little cape and tights as well
