Julio's Top 5 Rivals According to Julio

Mike: A part of me is slightly reluctant to post this because I am not sure how it will be received but gotta find out somehow I suppose. The one and only..... Julio.

Although Julio is in a class of his own... Julio does have a few rivals to mention.. some are known others will be gladly surprised at the love Julio doesn't have for you!

At the end of the day, most of this stuff is a complete joke... so before you freak out and get your little panties in a bunch... rememberthe blog is for entertainment, and I am a main attraction... so I got to bring some sugar and spice.

Don't take it personal, as at the end I don't really hate anyone.. I was presented with the opportunity to write on this topic and I felt like I should run with it.Lets get the party started. Boom.

1.Dufus Husdal (Braden Husdal) - Why do I chirp DUFUS so much you may be wondering? Well I guess this would be the perfect opportunity to answer that question. Growing up I was never a big DUFUS fan. The tipping point was some of the write ups and questionable practices that he allowed on his blog. DUFUS hypes up Norway in ways that you would think that Norway had never lost a game in the tournament, and that their closest match was a 10-1 win over ROI. DUFUS criticizes every other team and rarely gives credit where credit is due. I think last year he barely put ES in the top 10, and to say the least ES was a top 10 team last year. What really heated my dislike for DUFUS was the fact that he would skew the blog. DUFUS would delete any posts that proved him wrong/made him or Norway look bad. But most embarrassingly, he would let posts against people he disliked be left on, no matter how offensive they were. DUFUS liked to chirp me on his little blog, but little has he realized that I won the war. I overwhelmed his blog with posts last year, that his blog activity is so low and with people not wanting to post there, that he may as well call it a day and realize that his blogging days are long behind him. As for DUFUS being a soccer player; all I have to say is that I hope I am having a good day when we play Norway cause I'd love to dangle him left and right and see wht he says.... as I know if I have my typical off night he won't shut up all week about it! Norway vs ES ..... A must watch game!

2) Bart (The Polish Prince) - In my opinion Bart makes a hell of a mascot! Keep that guy in his tight little pleated skirt with that dynamite face paint, and have him work the flag pole like a champ. That is when Bart is at his finest! An exceptional talent as a mascot as that face paint alone is epic. I would love to see a duel for the mascot of the tournament between him, Flavio, and the Scottish guy with the kilt. Bart starting beak me as an anonymous poster and then continued to beak me during the 3rd place match last year. I am just returning the love for good old Bart, but I guess he's become camera shy! I wonder how Bart will be able to play now that there is extra pressure put on him to perform. I am going to guess he is going to be BRUTAL. Bart likes to mock what I do with the ball. A dream final would be ES vs Poland and me taking a run at Bart 1 v 1, beating him to cut into the middle with a ridiculous leg pump, as he calls it, and sniping the game winner as I celebrate in front of the WHOLE Polish nation! Now that would be an epic ending to the tourney. I can just see the tears flowing down Bart's little face right now. Poland vs ES. Dream final!

3) Greeks/ The Greek God of Videos (Zeus) - I like the fact that the Greeks have a video hype man: I can respect that much. I feel that if there was more video footage flying around it would make the marketing for this event that much more epic. Sadly, I am a self proclaimed video junkie and I feel disrespected when I see someone flaunt a mediocre piece of editing and call it a masterpiece! I am really hoping that the Greek God of Videos steps up his game and posts an acceptable video as then that would mean I would have to produce some magic of my own to compete with the little Spartan. I'm ready to dine in hell baby, are you?
Alot was made last year about my subtle Greek beaks. They were funny little one liners but I guess to expert blogger David Brown: Greece vs ES is a battle waiting to happen! I live for the games where the crowd is at its finest and will try to make it to the Greek game. I want the Hellas fans too boo their little hearts out. I want to see this work ethic and intensity that the Greek's mention they have. But ultimately, I want this game to be a thriller. Greece made a magical run last year and I am not going to lie, I was a little heartbroken at how they lost to Laos. Greece vs ES. Don't miss it!

4) Rory Edmundson - This guy doesn't deserve much of a paragraph. I will say this... I do dive on occasion, and I know many other players do as well, yet I dive when I have the ball and someone has made an effort to try to tackle me. Good old Rory thought pulling a Rivaldo in last years quarters would be a great idea. I hadn't even touched the guy, nor was the ball in our half and Rory was down on his knee, face covered as if he'd been shot.... embarrassing and disgusting to say the least. I hope by shedding light on his antics more people will notice how blatantly he dives even when no one is around. Hopefully he changes his ways! It would be hypocritical to say cut out diving all together but pulling a Rivaldo is embarrassing.

5) Anonymous Posters (Blog) - It always seems like it's a show down between me and an anonymous poster! It still blows my ind how a keyboard and a computer screen makes people so tough. let's be honest, you leave an electronic footprint with every entry you make, people are going to find out who you are and what you said so at least post with your name. Look at what happened to Clock Cleaner. That could happen to anonymous posters as well. At the same time don't be so obvious. Some anonymous posters try to make 3 or 4 posts bashing the same person, yet they format their entries all the same way, they make the same spelling and grammatical errors and they say too much. It's obvious that it's the same person. Even more obvious is when someone pumps their own tires on every single blog. Unless someone has a secret love for you, I don't think anyone would post on every blog about how unreal you are. If you're going to pump your own tires at least post your name behind it. Then you can claim to have the 2nd biggest ego in the room behind mine!

WOW! WOW! WOW! Is anyone else excited for Group D now? I want to see the El Salvador games against Greece, Norway, and France! Entertaining to read, risky decision Mike but well done!

Blogging brilliance. Gave me a good chuckle

I too would love see the ES vs Poland final! I think it has to potential to be a hell of a match.

rory edmundson is a brutal soccer player. why did u even mention him.

I also noticed there was an excessive amount of posts being deleted on that Norway blog last year, and I did wonder why some where being left up. I always seemed to read Playmaker's posts and he comes off as very arrogant and annoying, but that's just my opinion.

Julio,

Are you really pushing 269?

If that is the case it is going to be like running into a brick wall.

Last year biggest props of the tourney go to Lee Mooney for getting absolutely shalacked as him and Alvi met in mid air for a header. Lee bounced up quite amazingly.

Post up target man with Alvi playing high will be the tactic for ES.

Number 2? Really? I thought we had something special going on. I guess dufus probably has deserved the first place.

1st of all I never beaked you as an anonymous poster even though that sounds plausible because there really is no proof going one way or the other..unless you have some electronic footprint my pc left up your electronic ass.

As far as my confidence goes, you've shot it through the roof! Everyone expects me to be crap , so there really isn't any pressure on me! Thanks brother! I couldn't be happier. And I have had the honor of meeting and sharing laughs with a lot of the Regina soccer community who comes out to watch these games! But now thanks to you I don't feel any pressure to be good! All I can say is thanks!

If we happen to meet anywhere in the playoffs, I put a team pitcher on a dangle showdown. You'll have the creative advantage as you're of Hispanic decent and clearly Hispanic people are exceptional with their feet ( it's not stereotype, name me a Spanish player who is considered above average who doesn't have twinkle toe syndrome! It's nice to watch and brings the fans out) but I will most definitely drop your shorts at least once and show the streaks left on your sliders.

In defense of rory, he may have pulled a rivals but hes no where near as bad as that jerson character on es. That guys is the ronaldo of the wcp, and I mean in all the bad ways. He's got skill on the ball but Christ stay on your feet pal. I know a guy that can attach a pretty mean set of training wheels so he can stay upright!

I talked to the Greek video god , he said he has some video of you from last year. Unfortunately his poor video editing skills can't edit out your chauchiness(spelling on that one bro?). On top of that, he got a call from the FBI warning him about the copyright issues when trying to reproduce cast member from jersey shore!

Yes BART! Finally.. there's some life to the Polish Princess after all! I thought you had dedicated your time solely to Pole Dancing but I am pleasently surprised that you have FINALLY illustrated something that put somewhat of a chuckle not only to my self, but to the readers of the blog.
There was actually no order to the rankings... but now that you've finally brought some sugar and spice to the blog... you've earned it bud; you are my number one rival. I would shake your hand.. but I rather not, as I am not to sure how many flag poles that thing has been on.
I actually want to see these dangles.. I don't think I'd have shit stains though.. as I'd prolly piss my pants laughing at the fact at how ridiculous you would look with the ball... and about pulling my pants down... I am not too comfortable with that bud, I know some of your boys swing that way... but sadly I am not one of your boys, and I don't swing that way.
I am pretty sure the Greek God of Videos has been working on a "masterpiece" for the past 3 years... I heard he has the potential to be the next Scorcese.
As for calling my chauchy, I will take that as a compliment... I wouldn't say I'm really Jersey Shore material though... I would say I have better potential for the Real World.

No DG, I am not pushing 269! hah I would be a monster if that was the case.. and running would not be happening... I always get called FAT and what not that I thought I'd join in the beaks... but I actually only weigh 213... hopefully a little bit of running here and there and I should be down to 210. Last year I was weighing around 230ish at the WCP.
Very good point tho... Lee is a tough little guy. I actually didn't expect to have that collision mid air. All I remember is seeing the ball in the air... and knowing that if I didn't get a head on it, there was a good chance that ROI would have a quality shot on net... that I just went up and then I felt the impact.

I mentioned Rory, as I have never been so unimpressed by someone ever... How big is that guy, and how hard does he flop? Yes people dive... like I said, I dive from time to time... but Rory is just excessive and unneccessary. The reason I didn't point out Jerson is because not only is he my teammate, but the guy weighs 110 on a good day... while Rory is in the 200 club for sure! It'd make more sense for a little guy to be flopping around...

Soheil Summers coach of team Afghanistan is buying players. Why do you think Chico is playing. What a joke this is all becoming.

Anonymous said...

Julio your a dud man. When people come out to watch ES play, your the last guy anyone even cares about. You try and be all cool on this blog, and strut your stuff like your shit don't stink. How about you try and perform out there and gain some true respest. Your nothing but a joke on these blogs and people realize your trying to be cool. Your not cool, and your definately not a good soccer player. Your actions and comments are nothing more than childish and it's nothing more than rubbish coming from a high school child. End of story.

Anonymous said...

Don't think this afghan coach guy is buying players, as I'm sure we would hear more about it and he would approach more game changing players then chico. No offence to chico. Just someone trying to stir something up i think!

Your keyboard and screen have given you Hulk like abilites once again.

All I will say is... you sound a little jealous there bud. Blogs are for shits and giggles. Sad your not included? End of story.

It's a shame guys post anonymously. The blog is fun to read. It gives us something to read and entertainment. The blogs were boring, slow, and pretty much dead before "Julio" sparked them up.The funny thing is that outside the blog, and even on the blog, Julio is a fun guy. I would consider him quite a beauty guy to party with.

Why would a team pay anyone to play for them? Sounds ridiculous

I just came to get my daily blog fix on and I can't believe how well the name Dufus has caught on. I witnessed it on the Norway blog! Cheers to that Julio!

As for the anonymous poster, it's obviously the same guy who comes on here and bashes whoever he can as he posted the exact same comment on the Norway blog. First it was Brown, now Julio, I wonder who will be next?! Any guesses??

Chico has been playing for the Afghanistan the majority of the indoor season, so don't make shit up if you don't know anything.

Anonymous said...

Look at the Afghan website. Google that goalie they have listed. He from B.C. or some shit. Use your head, do some research, ask around. You'll see I'm not lying. These Afghan dudes are buying up the place. Sad really cause they will suck. It's actually embarassing. I hope Kevin makes some kind of rule against this kind of behavior.

As for the anonymous posts. When you sign your name ESsuperFan or Julio or whatever, your still anonymous cause no one knows who you are really. Don't talk shit until you create an actually good. Thanks for coming out you dud.

Who the heck cares if someone pays someone to play?

Personally if it is happening then all the power to anyone getting money. People need not fear or feel threatened as it will never get to a point where thousands of dollars are being spent on players in this tourney. If it does and someone is paying thousands I will definitely gladly accept with a big smile on my face.

If someone is able to milk a bit of money off of someone then all the power to them.

Mike, can you please take note that I am an advocate for paying players. Especially out of town players. I will accept a cheque, cash or email money transfer. Thanks in advance.

Love all the banter talk on here. Alvi just speaks what is on his mind and so do the other guys on his list that post on blogs (Bart, Husdal, Greek God). Deep down they all have mad love for each other, and feed off of each other. A lot of guys enjoy playing the bad guy role to get a rise out of someone. Alvi is putting on a clinic with some of you anonymous posters getting your panties in a bunch.

I do have to admit the jersey shore comment from Bart was pretty funny.

I think this blog has a chance to really take off this year. In fact, 3 weeks leading up to the tourney and it is getting tons of hits already.

This is my second ever post on any blog. I may challenge Alvi, Collins and company with my ego in due time. Just warming up to the ideal :)

DG is just loving it... your like a little kid that is just entered a candy store and you don't know what to get cause your soo excited! Welcome to the promise land! haha

Oh man, at the end of day, if alot more people show up to the ES games and are booing... I rather have that, then have empty seats. Makes the tournament alot more fun, and obviously it's all in good fun. I've been chirping Bart pretty good, and he's finally stepping up his game that he is creating all around enjoyment. Speaking of Bart... I feel that you need a new, better, more accurate nickname... The Polish Playboi... I think that suits you just right... as I know how much you like to try to pick up as many dudes as you can!

As for the Jersey Shore comment, funny story about that... when I was at the U of A, my buddies and I were thinking of making a web series of 7 chauchy dudes living in one house... we were all Guido... and then. a week later Jersey Shore came out and beat us to it!

As for the anonymous guy that keeps crying... It's not my fault you don't know who Julio is...like I said I am a main attraction... it is what it is.. If you don't know, well your lose... Julio was created on the 8th day... if you think I am anonymous by posting with Julio as a tag... it shows how ignorant you are, and how your just whining and complaining cause no one is paying any attention to you....On a side note, DG... I know your new at this whole thing... but I'd prefer referencing to me as Julio, as my bosses like to scan the web from time to time and they read everything!

Mike... the BC goalie... played for ES two years ago... he is a pretty good goalie, and the reason he is playing is cause he is friends with Chico... if Afghan want to start paying coin to their players... its their money and they can do as they wish... just makes sense as in real life soccer, middle eastern countries love to splash top dollar for players... why not at the WCP?
I bet that anonymous guy is just mad because Afghan prolly asked him to play... but instead of paying him, they offered him a spot as their water boy at a solid premium that he'd have to pay and now his little feelings are hurt... it's alright bud... if you really want, why not post your name and you can compete with myself and the Polish Playboi for the Worst Player of the Tourney.. they more the merrier ya know.

DG

Mike Collins said...

Wow. A lot to address on here. I guess we'll start with the most important. Julio's weight. I actually heard he is DOWN to 269. That's impressive.
I don't understand what people have against teams paying players. I am not sure Afghan is doing it necessarily but if they were that's their prerogative. It's not something I would spend my money on, dream on Dwayne, but if they want to spend their money and still not win that's fine by me. As for the anonymous posters there is really nothing I can do about it. Obviously I could make it so that you have to have a name but then you get significantly less posts. Then we're stuck with only the Julio's, Bart's, DB's, DG's, and the blunt but very insightful NR. Don't think that's the way we want to go.

Anonymous said...

Collins,

people feel threatened that if teams start to pay guys their roster spots may not be safe down the road. Fact is, there will always be room for below average players on teams to fill roster spots and roles in this tournament.

If paying guys will help get rid of the below average guys I might have to start shelling out!

Also, Julio, the tag NR was a subtle jab at DG.

Ok. Whether afghanistan is paying players or not it shouldnt be anyones damn concern. I heard when laos was/is sponsored by tepanyaki steak house. And when they won the tourny they all ate out all night and the 8g tab was covered by the owner. Isnt that a form of paying? I know lots of aghanistan team members and the farthest they go as far as "paying" is helping out of town players with gas money. If u can get decent sponsors then heck make sure u make good use of the money. Another thing, how do u know the supposed paid players are not there because their friends asked em to. I think they helped their goalkeeper pay part of his plane ticket. Thats all
