Poland - Questions & Answers

Name: Michal Bandula
Team: Polska
How would you rate last years performance?
I think last year we had a very successful tournament. We had intense playoff games and were able to beat some very good teams on our way to the final but due to injuries and not having Chris Sarrazin at final vs France we were not able to keep up with them and eventually they broke through our team and were able to take the championship from us in the last 5 minutes. Congrats to them.
Are there any new signings or departures?
We have lost Dane Mcdougall to a knee injury, Jordan Lupastin went back to his Canadian roots to play with his Enter boys, Kris Swatecki, and Chad Neald. We picked up Bobbi Nicholat from Afghanistan and Sam Mylymok is back playing again after taking a year off.
Who is your most important player? Why?
The one and only Jay Tomchuk a.k.a. the "Polish God". Battled ankle injuries the past couple of years, look for him to be as healthy as he has been in a while and hopefully he will able to score a bunch of goals and clutch goals this year for us. Honourable mentions go to "Tips" and that goofy looking guy in net.
Where do you think you will finish this year?
Never liked predicting how we will finish in the tournament. I do believe we are a contender again this year, we need to take it game by game and we can't get too ahead of ourselves.

If you could sign any player in the tournament who would it be and why?
Mitch Bauche - absolute beast in the midfield and would be a great compliment to our team.

Who do you think will win this year?
Look for Ireland to be back in the final this year. They have stacked their team again and are looking to make a run. Not sure if they will have all their guys during the group stage, but I do expect them to have a full line up during playoffs and they will be a very tough team to beat.
If you could change one thing in the tournament what would it be?
I was not a huge fan of the new Draw Format that they used this year. I understand that they were maybe trying to change things up and have the potential to call out other teams to create drama for the group stage. But why try to fix something that's not broken? I guess I just prefer the classic draw format that has always been used.

Another player I'd love to have on our team would be Jarvis from Canada

Jordan is a smart man. Canada is going to take this tournament this year, hands down! I doubt any team in this competition will compete. Too much talent and youthfulness. They are going to run every team out of town.

jordan is an outrageous goon. he is the tall bald guy right? if so, he can only win slide tackles because his legs are so long- he doesn't foul because people know to jump out of the way when he comes in cleats up. not athletic at all just tall AF and reckless. another player who should be banned from WCP. Dangerous.

also cannot chug a beer.

Other than Michal, Poland's most important player is their hard team work. They don't have a ton of "stars" (relatively speaking) on their team, so they have to play extremely efficient. They score on most of their opportunities and work hard for one another to make it difficult for the opposition to get quality shots off. Poland plays solid and cohesive defense so when they do concede shots its usually forced from range and Michal is one of the best goalies to take care of those. Also their fans are huge. They would honestly be a pretty boring team to watch if it wasn't for the atmosphere, and they ride the highs of the atmosphere and momentum like no other team. They don't play flashy, they don't even play very technical soccer. In fact silencing their fans can start to lead to a collapse. The last two games last year, once the momentum started to shift they started to get exposed. Getting the momentum isn't that easy against Poland though, hard work is underrated

I kindve agree with that. Poland plays with a hunger that you don't see in teams like Ireland. But Ireland is still the team with the hardware. Since Poland has proven that they can now make runs to the final, this might be the year we see what triumphs: stacking your team with all the random talent you can find, or team-wide hunger.

PJ who? Why are we talking about these useless individuals no one cares about. If your post has any validity anon: 01:24 then the guy is a typical douche bag. We have lots of them in Regina. Don't let stupid inconsiderate people ruin your day.

Bandula is a MITCH. Add him to the pile.

You know you are a tool when you have to go around the facility and tell people who awesome you are. We realize you have some talent you dud. You don't need to go around bragging about it. Definitely a MITCH. I give Collins for credit than this fairy Bandula. At least Collins isn't talking about how "superior" he is.
