So opening day is upon us and the excitement is palpable. The highlight of opening night is the MASSIVE France vs Sudan game. Here my prediction for it:
I think this is a game that will live up to the hype. Sudan's advantages are their pace and most obviously their height. They are going to to continue their way of launching long balls into the box and hope their 2 giant strikers can get on the end of them. A few questions facing Sudan though: 1) Can they remember to play their style? Last year they lost their 1st game and it took them awhile to perfect their style of play. Can they bring it right away? 2) Who's playing net? Noor is out with pneumonia for this game so they are without a keeper. I am almost certain they don't have a back up so it should be a player. Unless they are allowed to sign someone it should make things interesting.
France will counter Sudan's height with Benno and possibly Brett playing at the back. They should be able to win their fair share of balls in the air. France will rely heavily on Danny and Murphy to keep the ball on the ground and moving in the midfield. If they are going to win those to will be the ones to make it happen. I expect France to hold more possession in order to limit Sudan's long balls.

Here is something interesting for everyone.
I came on here and I voted 51 times for Nathan Reis to be MVP. It took me 10 minutes to do this, at this same time someone somehow voted for Noor for roughly 50 votes. Funny how that happens isn't it? Whoever is posting anonymously and as a the joker has some sort of affiliation with Noor as I doubt 70 people even know who that guy is. The riddle of the jokers is starting to unravel.
Noor is so bad. I don't think I could get 8 people to vote yes for him! He must have been the guy behind the votes as he obviously comes on the site. Bottom line Noor you are pathetic as it doesn't matter how many votes you give yourself you are not MVP quality in any league.
I voted for Noor
Karlen, Nate, DB, and DG
Anon 12:05 you are full of it! I just looked at the polls and you are wrong!
Noor is a top goalie fore sure! Had a great season in 2012 and is well deserving of the award. Nathan Reis is a fool... he wouldn't even make a legit a top 10 attackers list.
I got all my friends to vote for Noor. I'm pretty sure we have around 55 computers in our computer firm all hooked up to a different network. GOOOOO NOOOOORRR... HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!! SUCK ON THOSE APPLES ANON POSTERS.
... so you are going to suck on apples because you are an anon poster?
S.G.
Unsure how my soccer ability relates to whether or not I'm a fool.

Also, thanks Anon 12:05!
I voted for Tong Tong.

Nate sucks and no one really likes him. That I can garantee. He shouldn't win it.
The fools that are voting, and voting are so stupid. These polls are rigged clearly. How is Sarah Novak winning the voting today, and how is Noor got more votes than Tong Tong in a matter of hours when he was losing the voting by such a large margin yesterday. Noor is a bum, he won't win the MVP and if he does, I'm sure people will complain. People voting like a hundred times means nothing, just a rigged vote. How lame.
This is a long shot, but I am going with a 2-2 TIE.
Mike, are you going to post UP TO THE MINUTE TWITTER UPDATES on how the games go (MENS GAMES). I would really appriciate it if you could. I know you are a busy guy, but I can't make every single mens game, every single night.
Thanks.
I had picked a four three game for france, but sudan disappointed, and france has a bunch of guys who can shoot the ball.
Alot less ball control and playmaking than i anticipated from france, but sudan is a weaker team without their midfielder who held it together for them, their dominating last man, and of course without their keeper, forcing one of their quick skilled players out of their offence.
Unfortunately not a very exciting game.
sudan is missing five of there best player and three new guys from that fcedmonton team i hard they hoping for sudan to make it to the next round till they show up i still think sudan will win it again
