Player Transfers/Rumours

A lot of player movement or at least rumors of player movement but I thought I would jot down what I have heard. Can decide for yourself what is true and what is not.

The Pattersons are apparently a hotly coveted duo as usual. Germany are desperate to keep them but supposedly ROI and France are both trying to lure them away. I give it about a 50% chance of them leaving.

On the same note I have also heard D-Pat may not play as he is in school??? Who knows...

Also while on Germany I have heard that France have inquired about Jordan Peto's interest in joining their side after playing for them in the RSA tournament. Seems as though there is some uncertainty from France on their goal keeping situation.

And speaking of goal keeping situations if any knows one call ROI.

Jamaica has perhaps been the busiest of all the teams signing Mike Collins, David Brown, Shaan Kapila, Jonah Gardikiotis and less importantly Dwayne Gareau. Should make their team a lot more composed.

Our usual discussion as to whether Northey will be playing this year or not is up in the air. i have heard both yes and no but am currently hearing more no. Could be a moot point anyway as Northey is more than replaced by Laos' pickup of Chico form Afghan.

Poland looks to be in a lot of trouble as they will most likely end up with "Tips" as their only goal scoring threat. It sounds as though Brett Levis will be missing and Jay Tomchuk has just had ankle surgery and is hoping to b back after week 1. That seems like an awfully quick recovery. Heal Fast Jay!

Poland have signed Chris Zoller though. I believe he is a defender so that solves a lot of their problems.

For Canada, Jarvis has been using his Saskatoon ties to potentially sign Nathan Reis and for the honor to have Ryan McCallister be on their IR this year.

Finally Afghan have signed U of S's Bobbi Nicholat. Make of that what you will.

Correct me if i am wrong of join in if you have heard anything else. DOOM TOASTED!

I thought zoller was an offensive player? Am I wrong or is mike just trolling

Anonymous said...

Zoller is a defender. And Dane Mcdougall to poland? or possibly Dane and Duncan to ES???

Anonymous said...

Why are the patterson brothers a package deal? are they the sedin brothers? Do they hold hands when they cross the street? Do they share girls?

Someone should do the top 10 player list again. Mike?

Anonymous said...

Players that should transfer out of the tournament:1. DG (Dwanye Gareau): Was one of ROI's biggest liabilities behind BIG Nathan Reis.2. Flavio & Anibal Bravo: Maybe the worst brother/sister combo to ever play in this event.3. Scott Myrah & Chad Anthony: The non-heritage Laotians who have as much talent as that loser Riggs.4. Mike Collins, David Brown: Brown will embarrass himself with the inability to perform, and Mike was never very good. 5. Shaan Kapilla: Who is Shaan Kapilla, enough said. The Joker

Chico to Laos will be a blessing in disguise for
Afghan, the guy is the biggest ball hog I've ever seen. Hes gonna ruin Laos just wait and see.

Chico is not a good player.
Mike Collins is not a good player.
Both teams are better off without those players.
ROI will be stronger without Dwayne Gareau as he is a liability.

Julio to Canada? Strange I thought the guy fell off the face of the earth as he doesn't show up to any league matches in Saskatoon according to the stats. I doubt he will even play by the sounds of it.

Julio is too busy stuffing his face at Macdonalds to play. He's like 300 lbs haha

Top 10 Worst Players in WCP History:
1. Julio: I am not sure if he is capable of doing any basic skills of the sport.
2. Mike Collins: Horrible player who thinks he is an all-star!!!
3. Chico: Brunt of almost every joke. Selfish, Self-Centered, Egomaniac.
4. Dwayne Gareau: Overweight, slow, overall just a bad player.
5. Big Nathan Reis: overweight, greasy, and just a bit better than Dwayne.
6. Shane Kapilla: Shane is a joke. Struts around the center like he is someone, but who is Shane Kapilla? A bench-warmer on a mediocre team!!!
7. Flavio & Anibal Bravo: The terrible Bravo bros need to be included in this conversation as you don't get worse than these two.
8. Jerson: Anyone else think this guy is just bad and annoying?
9. Riggs: Ugly, slow, mentally retarded.... the list is endless.
10. Darko: This guy thinks he is amazing, but he sucks! Claims to be the best scorer in the province... enough said.

Kirk stop posting garbage on the blog. Kirk is not only the joker but he is the random fake posts.

First off I have no idea who Zoller even is so I am just running off the info I receive. I am not "trolling". Next the Top 10 Player list will be up tomorrow. Finally though I agree with some of the choices/lists it should be noted that a lot of those players have had a lot of success. Probably more than whoever wrote that. Unless its Holness...... then yeah we suck.

Anonymous said...

Please define success Mike?
As if I am not mistaken you played one year at the U of S and that is not very noteworthy. I think that was the year that the program should have shut down after not winning a single game. As for Men's club nationals, that's a watered down event where other provinces have various competitive teams in their respective cities and we have to put a "provincial" team together to be successful.
Have any of those players played anywhere or gone anywhere? I'd have to assume that none of those players have set foot anywhere near a national or professional arena. So really what is this success that you claim which sets them apart from the rest of us?

Thank you for whoever pointed out that it is Kirk posting over and over, surprised that he didn't make the top ten worst list alongside his whole German squad.

-Skeptic

Anonymous said...

Skeptic are you retarded or something?!?!? Mike is obviously an international soccer player for Team Jamaica as this tournament is the pinnacle of soccer!!! If Messi played here I don't think he'd score a single goal against the level of talent that sets foot on the field every single match!!!!

First off, I'd like to thank you for following my playing "career" so closely. It's always nice to have a fan.

My first reaction was to explain how many of your premises/assumptions were wrong but I then realized it was rather pointless. You obviously think you are a on par with all of these players and are entitled to that opinion.

So here is my suggestion if you truly want to debate this you clearly know who I am and I will be at the facility every day for 3 weeks. Come find me.

PS Did the Joker just stand up for me? Bizarre.

Not Annonymous said...

Whoever is making those top ten worst lists just has a hate on for a bunch of talented players who help make this tournament better. Or maybe you're right... should we just agree to ban all the players on your lists and fill their spots with all the all stars from Vietnam, South Korea, England, Somalia, Scotland and all those other unreal teams that could barely win a game over the past few years? That would definitely make the tournament better..

I'd rather lose on or two moronic fans than a handful of the more skilled players in the tournament, even if some of their attitudes may not be all that respectable.

Anonymous said...

Sounds like Brett will be showing up for a few poland games because of the persistance of the polish faithful!

But who cares right? Brett sucks! I'd like him banned as well. Noone wants to see the best player in the province in this tournament anyways.

Anonymous said...

Anon 6:17 I agree with most of your post. The only problem I see is with the comment of some attitudes being disrespectful.
With one or two of the players I quite agree with you, but right now I am going to take a shot in the dark and guess your pointing out Mike, Julio, David, Nate, and Chico as these seem to be the top respondents for hate through these blogs.

Julio gets the brunt of the hate, and I am starting to believe it's just a rouse to get people on the blog. I've seen him coach with the provincial program and the kids enjoyed his sessions. I read some of the Julio posts and they seem to lack to blockbuster affect of previous years that I wonder if those are real Julio posts. Mike has made posts to better the game in Regina and takes times to provide an environment for people to blog. (Most post are made just to get a reaction)
David if I am not mistaken was once a coach with a youth team, and therefore has also played a part to better the game in the province.

I don't know much about this Nathan guy, except that he looks like a homeless man and is slightly larger than he once was. Maybe his attitude is not noteworthy and he has done very little to help the game in this province to grow.

As for Chico, I believe he does have a poor attitude. He jumps from team to team, and he truly believes that he is a remarkable talent. In my humble opinion, I feel that he is mediocre at best and deserves very little attention.

I am usually a by stander but I thought I'd say a thing or two.

Anonymous said...

Thanks Anon 7:23. It is true Julio hasnt made an appearance on the blog this year his post are usually pretty easy to spot.

I think the reason we take the brunt of the hate is because we post with our names and state our opinions, whereas most people just come on here to talk sh*t about people while remaining anonymous.

Also, yes I was a youth coach for a while.

The Joker said...

ahahh funny I have only made 2 comments so far this, I guess i inspire someone to be like me

anyways I can only imagine David being a coach, using the handbook of Arsene Wegner and how to use his tactics, only one could imagine what those kids go through hearing his accent yelling and thinking to themselves "what did i sign up for"

as for the top/worse players no one cares.

Anonymous said...

I'd like to thank "anon 7:23", but he seems to have actually taken a secondary shot at me! I can assure you that your concerns of my homelessness are unfounded and the fact I have not coached any provincial programs does not tell a fraction of the story on my attitude towards soccer, and whether or not I contribute to soccer within the province.

Actually, I don't have any issue with guys Like Julio, Riggs, DB, NR and DG, who make the blogs entertaining. It's pretty obvious that they are just having fun with the whole thing and people who take them seriously need to tone it down a bit.

On the field Mike does some things to get under people's skin, but he's doing a great job with the blog.

My comment was more geared towards the players who like to get under people's skin, but I wasn't saying they don't belong there. I'm saying I would rather watch higher quality soccer, even if some of the players don't always play respectable, rather than watching a div 4 caliber game.

Anonymous said...

Anon 11:58, I get your point and now I further agree with you. Furthermore, I find that many of the anonymous posts on this blog and Kirk Evans post with the same intent. I am all for entertainment but some of these anonymous posts have no value at all.

Nate: sorry big lad I guess I did take a secondary shot at you, but in all fairness your a large target so you are difficult to miss. I do apologize for stating that you being involved in the grassroots level of the sport isn't something noteworthy, as the sport may be better off with you as a mere spectator instead.

Anonymous said...

HAHA Brown as a coach?!?! You have to be kidding me. What could he have possibly taught those poor children. I wonder how many still play today after dealing with that loser.
Even worse is Julio coaching at all! I can only imagine how bad those kids must be! Maybe I'll get into coaching just to embarrass Julio and watch him cry.

The Joker

1. It's "you're".
2. Sounds good. Let's have a beer as mutual spectators and hash out the uni-directional differences you have towards me. But I'm still going to play in the tournament.

-Nate

The Joker said...

who are you? ahaha your not the joker!

Brown would be a decent coach becuase hes english

Julio would probably teach kids how to clip people from behind and diving lessons for 20 minutes

Anonymous said...

Nate: I don't doubt that you will be playing. You are one of those guys that needs to be on the field and try as hard as possible in hopes that someone will take notice. Luckily enough I have taken notice to how bad you are. Sorry mate but you post on here like you are one of the elite and you are at the same level as Kirk Evans. I will concede that you did score a lot of goals last year but I think ROI would be a stronger team if you were left out of the fold. Yet I will keep my eye out for you and have a drink or two if you manage to show a bit more skill on the pitch.

Anonymous said...

Kirk what would you teach the kids?
How to waddle around like a greasy penguin? Well I am now The Joker, so your gig is up little fat boy and you should just post with your name instead of continuing to be anonymous.

Haha if I'm not mistaken, none of my posts have made any reference to my soccer ability, or lack thereof. But if you can get a few Irish guys to say the team is better off without me, I'll resign.

Rumour has it that afghan coach summers is prepared to bid 30 million dollars to resign Chico on a lucrative 5 million dollar deal. The Laos steak night did not raise enough money to pay Chicos lucrative 1 million dollar a month salary to play.

Sources say chico is unhappy after not being able to take 50 million free kicks per game. Laos does not the employ the same simulation tactics as afghan.

When asked to comment on all of this summers declined saying "I am the special one" before power sliding on his knees.

On a further note having subdued an injury while celebrating a power slide. Summers is questionable to be pacing the sidelines for start of world cup, as his knees couldn't sustain the load.
